And yes, the house-to-garage ratio is way off.

This was a fun home to do. My summer help is back, so I had a guy doing all of the step ladder work and deck rails while I got to focus on the ladder stuff. Mr. 28' ladder was very popular here.

The best part of the current modern box home design wave is the big windows. Annoying for me, but all that light is fantastic. I’d say they didn’t go far enough here. Let’s see some real floor to ceiling panes, with thin metal frames instead of the bulky shit seen below.

The bedroom is nice, but again. Some good architectural glass in skinny frames would go a long way. Every window in the house has hidden blackout shades that come down at the press of a button.

The staircase section was interesting. Hold on, here’s a picture from the outside too.

I took a peak from underneath, looks neat.

Okay, here’s the annoying part. Can you see what I see?

Such a questionable design choice. I’m guessing there was either some strange safety thing they had to adhere to... Or the builder fucking hates window washers. One of the two.

It’s hard to get pictures that show the space properly. There’s about 3 floors worth of openness in this staircase section. It’s a nice design, although there a certainly a few things I’d do differently.

The ceiling looks nicer than my flooring......

Bonus bathroom from the next job. They don’t make’em like this anymore. Which is good, because we’re not all four feet tall. The sink countertop came up mid-thigh...

Me too. I wish my job took me into some of the converted warehouse, industrial style homes with the bricks, and pipes, and cement, with all the modern furniture, etc.
